Los Iros is located along the southern coastline of Trinidad and is one of the places closest to Venezuela. The low lying land of the Orinoco Delta in Venezuela is readily visible from Los Iros, the Orinoco being the 8th longest river in the world at 2,140m stretching from the llanos of Colombia, all through Venezuela and finally flowing into the Atlantic immediately to the south of Trinidad.
Erin is a community centered largely around fishing which lies just to the west of Los Iros.
